Welcome to Mission-X. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mission-X platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Mission-X ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization (school, university, government body, or corporation), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Platform

Mission-X is an immersive AI-enabled education platform where users explore real-world industries and develop critical skills through mission-based participation, AI-assisted exploration, and collaborative problem solving. The Platform is designed for use by students, educators, administrators, and institutional partners.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • For users under 16 years of age, account creation requires parental or institutional consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or other users' experience
  • Upload or transmit harmful content, malware, or any material that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Use AI features to generate inappropriate, harmful, or misleading content
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the source of any content
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without prior written consent
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to mission designs, educational materials, AI models, software, graphics, text, and trademarks, is the property of Mission-X or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on Platform content without prior written permission.

Content created by users during missions (solutions, designs, presentations) remains the intellectual property of the user or their institution, subject to a non-exclusive license granted to Mission-X for platform improvement and showcasing purposes.

6. AI-Assisted Features

The Platform includes AI-assisted guidance and exploration tools. While we strive for accuracy and helpfulness, AI-generated content is provided for educational support and should not be considered a substitute for professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated outputs.

7. Institutional Agreements

Institutions deploying Mission-X (schools, universities, government bodies, corporations) may be subject to additional terms under separate institutional agreements. In the event of conflict between these Terms and an institutional agreement, the institutional agreement shall prevail.

8. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mission-X and its officers, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or educational outcomes, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mission-X and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mission-X is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
